It\u2019s 2025, and as I sit down to write this first post of 2025, I\u2019m laughing at myself – again. If you\u2019ve been wondering what\u2019s been happening on this blog or with the “regularly scheduled” content I so fervently wished for last year\u2026 well, let\u2019s just say I fell off that wagon mid-journey. And what about social media, you ask? That was an entirely separate rollercoaster of on-again, off-again attempts throughout the seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be honest, this isn\u2019t new behavior for me. I\u2019ve always struggled with feeding the algorithm gods on a regular basis. Consistency and I have a tumultuous relationship, and at this point, I think it\u2019s time to embrace the truth that I\u2019ve been avoiding for ages: my little monkey brain thrives in bursts, not routines. At least in the chaos that\u2019s defined my creative journey so far. Fighting against my own nature only leads to frustration, so why keep at it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For better or worse, here\u2019s how it usually goes: I get obsessed with a shiny new project, throw myself headfirst into it and give it my all. Everything else? Forgotten, abandoned, left gathering the metaphorical dust. Eventually, guilt sets in for not following through with my original plans, so I craft an intricate schedule to make up for it. A full month worth of Instagram content. The next 4 to 5 five blog posts. Throw a couple YouTube videos into the mix… I tell myself I\u2019ll stick to it this time! Spoiler alert: I don\u2019t. Soon enough, the next shiny thing catches my attention, and the cycle starts anew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I’m writing this post – close to the end of January – the temptation of the “new year effect” is still strong. You know the one: it whispers promises of grand plans, impeccable organization, and a flawless, idealized version of yourself. It is telling me to dream big and overfill my plate with all of the things I dream of achieving, as if I had the time, means, and energy to make them happen all at once. But this year, I\u2019m trying a different approach. I’m waving the white flag before the chaos even begins. No lofty resolutions, no over-packed schedules, no self-imposed guilt trips. Let\u2019s just\u2026 figure it out as we go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of it all, my top priority remains finishing Tarot of a Forest Witch<\/a><\/em>. This passion project of mine requires my whole attention, and if everything else needs to simmer quietly on the back burner, so be it. Speaking of which, I also have other exciting card-related updates to share! But instead of cramming everything into this post, I\u2019ll save the details for another one. So stay tuned for a dedicated \u201cdeck creator update\u201d post!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, I hope this new year is treating you kindly. May your days be filled with joy, fulfillment, and every possible bit of magic and enchantment you can gather. Here\u2019s to a year of embracing our quirks, chasing our passions, and letting the chaos guide us to some unexpected, beautiful places \u2728\ud83c\udf3f<\/p>\n\n\n\n
